I’ve been getting back into reading comics again, It’s funny when I was younger I would buy comics based on what the cover looked like, now I buy them based on who the writer is. Currently reading: Watchmen, Preacher, and I just picked up The League of extraordinary gentlemen vol1 and vol2. I enjoy hunting the books down in used book stores mostly because I can get trades for half off the cover price.

If you haven’t read Watchmen yet, pick it up its amazing. Also if you haven’t read The Dark Knight Returns read that as well it holds special place in my heart.

Movie/Comic News:

At the Watchmen panel, Zack Snyder expressed his love for Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, in response to a question about the more mature direction of comic book adaptations.

“There are a lot of other graphic novels out there, but I would love to see Frank Miller’s Dark Knight made into a movie, but that’s just me.”

Later at the Entertainment Weekly Visionaries panel, Frank Miller told Snyder “You can do it anytime you want to Zack”. To which Snyder said he was making a note of Miller’s response.

This is one comic that needs to be left alone!! Not only is it the greatest comic ever made there are also two really awesome batman movies that everybody loves! They will never be able to capture the feel of the comic in a movie. 95% of the population will not understand the genius story (retired batman, 13 year old girl playing robin, balls nasty, boner rad, etc, etc, etc) If i was a billionaire i would buy the rights to this movie and never sell it.
